EControls’ flow laboratory is used to develop, test, evaluate, and calibrate air flow and fuel metering products. EControls routinely tests liquid fuel injectors, gaseous fuel injectors, carburetors, cylinder heads, intake manifolds and exhaust manifolds. For calibration of digital (pulse-width-modulated) injectors, EControls has developed a mass balance system for both liquid and gaseous fuels. The engine itself (often the best bench test for real-world conditions) can also be used to measure fuel flow and air flow rates for specific component testing.
