PV / DV testing

EControls performs Product Validation (PV) / Design Validation (DV) testing on all products. We closely follow the procedures and process controls required of ISO certified manufacturers, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission for new or revised product designs. PVDV testing can include new FMEA’s, on-engine validation, full application validation and environmental validation.

• PV/DV Testing:
  With a mantra of test early and keep on testing EControls puts all of its products through extensive automotive grade test cycles, along with in application testing to ensure all possibilities are captured.  Results are documented according to AIAG standards.  Typical testing includes:

  
  

  • On-engine durability testing
  • HALT Testing
  • MC (200V/m, 120V load-dump, 8kV ESD, etc.)
  • Thermal cycle test
  • On-engine vibration (3 axis)
  • Shock test
  • Humidity under power (98%)
  • Salt spray under power (NaCl, CaCl, etc.)
  • Water intrusion (splash, 15 psi submerged pressure, pressure wash, etc.)
  • Chemical Resistance (fuels, oils, brake fluid, anti-freeze, solvents, etc.)

  Through years of product design and manufacturing, EControls has earned a reputation for providing validated products meeting the highest levels of EMI resistance.
