DDC ICM

EControls supplies the ignition control module to Detroit Diesel for their heavy-duty lean-burn gaseous-fueled engines. This is an inductive module that provides current-control coil drivers for up to six ignition coils. Triggering is from the DDEC engine control module. Other features include shorted-coil protection; extreme EMC resistance (400V/m, …), and form, fit, and function compatibility with the DDC’s previous ICM supplier. This ignition was developed from a clean-sheet design to production in less than 2 months, including full validation and PPAP.
